Harry's concept has Qredits

Harry was the co-owner of a prospering advertising agency in Maastricht. A while ago, he stepped out of that business to start something totally different: a private sauna at home. A basement, approximately 100 m2 that wasn’t being used, was the ideal space. Harry explains: "I know someone who has a public sauna. I like going to the sauna together with my girlfriend. We usually go to a private sauna in Belgium. You make a reservation and as a couple or a small group enjoy the sauna and other facilities without anyone else there. In the Netherlands, the phenomenon of a private sauna is nowhere to be found. Almost all Dutch saunas are public. A private sauna in Maastricht might be quite appealing, we thought. We had the space. And the location, just outside of the city centre, was perfect. "

Two phone calls

Harry wrote a business plan and went to a bank for 25,000 Euros in financing. To his surprise his application was denied. "They thought it was too small an amount. That was strange, because it was the bank where my advertising agency always did business."  The Chamber of Commerce referred him to Qredits, and then it went quickly. "First there was a phone call, followed by a very pleasant conversation at my home with a Qredits business advisor." Harry didn’t need counselling or coaching because he is not a starting entrepreneur. With the borrowed money he bought the entire setup of the sauna: the sauna itself, a Jacuzzi, a steam bath, and showers.

Impressed

At the end of 2009 he received the first guests for Vizitz Sauna. How is it going now? "Great! The bookings are right on schedule. The guests’ reactions are overwhelming. They are extremely impressed with the concept."
Besides enjoying the heat, steam and water, Vizitz guests can also get a massage, learn new breathing techniques during a breathing session, and receive advice from a wellness coach. Harry receives a wide variety of guests for this ultimate relaxation, he says. "We get couples who prefer to be alone, but also older people who feel uncomfortable in a public sauna. And people who just want to try it out. Everyone is enthusiastic. "
